New Features, Improved Functionality and Fixes

Some of v1.1's new features include:

  • Desktop Remote contextual menu for Finder access.
  • AppleScript access to all objects, including
    • device status
    • logging
    • sunrise and sunset times for any day
  • Web CGI support; both direct and via AppleScript.
  • AppleScripts (as Open Items) will automatically be compiled and executed when they are not already formatted as an applet.
  • Improved optimization of stored schedules for more capacity and smoother operation of devices.
  • Option - Drag duplicates the item in the same window, like Finder.
  • Document Settings menu item
    • (this has always been accessible from the icon in the document window)
  • Clear Memory menu item.
    • (downloading an empty schedule does the same thing)
  • Logging of multiple devices when addressed from a transmitter capable of multiple addressing.
  • Import of MouseHouse documents, both CM-11 and CP-290.
  • Drag & Drop of macro commands in Edit window for adjusting execution order.
  • Better keyboard navigation in the document window.

New fixes include:

  • Fixed a crash that sometimes happened when closing a window or quitting.
  • Improved document conversions from CM-11 to CP-290 or Firecracker.
  • Added handling to prevent unintended operations in the case where a macro or event happens during a schedule download.
  • Restored the item selection following the editing of a device, event or macro.
  • Fixed various problems with Drag & Drop/Copy & Paste introduced with the addition of the AppleScript objects.
  • Made the Remote Control window's device list sorted alphabetically
  • Fixed logging when old remotes or other transmitters send addresses and commands with a long delay between them.
  • Fixed a bug related to logs reaching ~32K.
  • Fixed bugs leading to extra macro commands being created when editing a macro with the list view expanded.
  • Fixed display bugs showing more events and macros in some cases.
  • Fixed a cosmetic bug with serial port popup menus when there are no serial ports.
  • Fixed a bug that, in some cases, caused incorrect sun-based event times around late November and December.
  • Fixed a communications bug that could potentially result in garbled reports when using multiple interfaces simultaneously.
  • Changed the events to always use day 366, even for non-leap years. This helps compensate for a design flaw in the CM-11A, which assumes 366 days before resetting to day 1.
  • Case is correctly handled when tweaking the names of devices and things.
  • Fixed an occasional AM/PM bug where events scheduled for the evening would execute in the morning.
  • Fixed a bug in calculating the times of sunrise and sunset for some locations.
  • Improved time-out when the interface fails to respond.
  • Improved reliability for communications when opening a port and immediately send data in the case where the CM-11 was already polling with a report.
  • Addressed ActiveHome hardware bugs where two events scheduled for the same time would sometimes fail to execute.
  • Resolved potential unexpected operations in the case where a macro trigger was received by the ActiveHome during a download of a new schedule.
  • Several CM-10 issues.
  • Fixed a crash that could, in some cases, occur when a schedule exceeds the capacity of the hardware.
  • Fixed a bug causing an erroneous report of AppleGuide being unavailable.
  • Improved address tracking for multiple addressing.
